3. Ecology & Foraging Walk

Discover edible plants, wild herbs, fungi and berries with a focus on species recognition led by Wendling Beck’s Head Ecologist, Rory Hart. This walk includes mushroom foraging in October and is available both as a private tour and a group course.

4. Eat Wild Course

Our Wildlife Ranger will teach you how to take wild game from feather/fur to oven ready. The meat you prepare will be ready for you to eat in your cabin that evening, and we can keep the rest frozen ready for you to take home.

Join our Wildlife Ranger for a guided tour of Wendling Beck, where you’ll explore protected areas, learn about local flora and fauna, and enjoy tea (or something stronger) by the campfire at “Hagrid’s Hut” while discussing the project’s wider goals.
